What are your ingredient standards?

 

Some fragrance ingredients on the market can interfere with different organs and systems of the body, as well as being carcinogens when used or used at unsafe levels.  Even ingredients that can be considered "natural" or "found in nature" can also be harmful to the body if used incorrectly, at unsafe levels, or mishandled in the process.

The perception that natural is inherently safe is a common misconception in the fragrance world. On the flip side if something is synthetic it doesn't necessary mean it is harmful but can mean made by man in laboratory/not naturally occurring in the environment. Allergens can still exist in BOTH sources.

We take pride in the fact that our products are formulated without added phthalates, parabens or CMR substances (carcinogenic, mutagenic, or reprotoxic ingredients) as defined by cosmetic safety standards . Our partner companies that supply us with these ingredients also follow these safety standards.

Ingredients used in our perfumes follow the standards and guidelines set IFRA (International Fragrance Association), MoCRA (Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act of 2022), and cosmetic safety standards. As more regulations are created, rest assured that we will continue to follow new standards set forth in upcoming months.

What is an allergen?

 

Fragrance allergens in cosmetics are compounds that may trigger allergic responses in certain individuals. These allergic reactions can manifest in various forms depending on the person. Some allergens can cause skin irritation and other issues ranging from mild to severe. However, by following the IFRA maximum usage percentages/and other cosmetic safety standards for each material used, reactions or skin sensitivities are not typical. Your skin and overall health is a priority!
